[Closed] The Rotisserie Express (CityLink Mall)

The Rotisserie Express has taken over the spot previously occupied by Starbucks at the corner of CityLink Mall beside the escalator that leads to Suntec City Mall.

This is the express version but it seems to have everything from mains and cakes to salads and bottled drinks displayed at the chiller. The only drawback I can see is the lack of sitting area, but there is an outdoor alfresco sitting area with long wooden benches and green canopy tops.

The Rotisserie specializes in roast chicken. The chicken are marinated in a special recipe for 12 hours and then massaged with their special homemade Aussie spice mix before roasting. I wondered how indescribably delicious the chicken will be after such lavish treatment so I ordered Quarter Chicken with Sides to try it out. The portion is generous but I am sorely disappointed with the chicken. Sure, the chicken is tender but there’s no difference between this “special treatment” chicken and the roast chicken from Cold Storage (actually, I think Cold Storage’s roast chicken is way better than this) and I definitely do not taste even a hint of the special homemade Assuie spice mix.

Eating Steak Sandwich can be sticky and messy business because the burger have a tendency to fall apart, but the juicy and flavorful beef patty makes it all worthwhile.
If you are an adventurous eater, you can always stick to the classic Fish and Chips, which is excellent here. Dory fillet is fresh with no weird taste which is breaded and fried till golden and crispy. You get the satisfying “crunch” sound when you sink your teeth in.

Red Velvet Cake is utterly delicious. The cake is soft and moist, the cream frosting is creamy but very light. This is definitely one of the best red velvet cake I have had.

You can’t really go wrong with Tiramisu which is melt-in-your-mouth soft but I do wish the sweetness can be dropped a notch because it is overpowering the delicate coffee taste.
Prices are a little steep at The Rositterie and I am not entirely convinced that they are justified. Food are generally well-done but there is really nothing special about their roast chicken. They also provide delivery and catering.
