Mr. Prata (Evans Road)

I saw Mr. Prata when I visited Assembly Coffee with my yoga friends a few months ago and I knew that I will definitely make a trip to Mr. Prata, so here I am.

I ordered my favorite combination (plain prata, egg prata, mushroom and cheese prata). I have nothing to complian about the pratas. They are freshly-made upon order and they are crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. However, the chicken curry that I was given was really watery. I miss the thick curry served at Jalan Kayu Prata Cafe (West Coast Plaza)

Non-Vegetarian Set Meal

Mr. Prata Set Meal (Vegetarian)
To make ordering easier, the good people at Mr. Prata have come up with set meals. Two examples are Non-Vegatatian Set Meal above and the Mr. Prata Set Meal (Vegetarian) below. Non-Vegetarian Set Meal consists of rice, meat with gravey (choice of chicken, mutton or fish), soup and papadums (crackers). The gravey is very watery and the mutton is over-tenderized. Mr. Prata Set (Vegetarian) consists of 2 pieces of plain prata, dhal and vegetable and a cup of fresh lime juice. The lime juice is a little sweet but still acceptable. Pratas are freshly-made and goes very well with the creamy dhal.
Besides the usual pratas, roti john and briyani, Mr Prata also offer Western/Mediterranean alternatives such as rolls, burgers & sandwiches, pastas, hot plates, kebabs, salads and soup.
I think the best thing about Mr. Prata  is they are open 24 hours! It is so nice to be able to get freshly-made pratas when the hunger pangs or prata craving hits you in the middle of the night. Do note that they only accept cash.
