Poke Doke (pronounced ‘po-kay do-kay’) is a relatively new eatery at Millenia Walk that offers quick hearty fixes of the most authentic flavours from the shores of Hawaii.
There are 4 standard poke bowls for the times when you can’t decide: Poke Doke Signature, Power Food Tuna Bowl, Umi Japanese Bowl and Vegetarian Shitake Tofu Bowl.
Poke Doke sells The Cold Brew Tea Co.’s teas, a Singapore startup that sells hand-brewed teas.
Poke Doke Signature is loaded with white and brown rice, salad, original poke salmon, onsen egg, pineapple, edamame, flying fish roe and almonds. The salad is fresh and crispy and I am totally in love with the marinated salmon cubes.
Power Food Tuna Bowl is almost identical to Poke Doke Signature except that this bowl contains marinated tuna instead of salmon, there is only brown rice, avocado and walnuts replace onsen egg and edamame. The absence of white rice makes this meal all the more healthy.
Uma Japanese Bowl offers soba served with salad, wasabi salmon poke, onsen egg, flying fish roe, edamame, Chuka wakame and cherry tomatoes. The wasabi salmon poke is not as hot as I imagined and this is a great choice when you want something light.
Vegetarian Shitake Tofu Bowl contains white and brown rice, salad, vegetarian shitake tofu poke, carrot, Chuka Wakame, cherry tomatoes and golden raisins. This bowl of goodness is specially created for the vegetarians and the days when you want to cleanse your system.
