Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Four Seasons

I joined the Keisuke Challenge which was held last year in October, and that’s how I came to know about the existence of Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Four Seasons. I am intrigued by the concept of ramen representing the four season, so I decided to try out all the four different ramens.

Condiments include mayonnaise, salt and chilli flakes. Of course, there is also free-flow beansprouts, boiled eggs and sesame.

Tonkotsu Ramen Spring is characterized by the addition of basil and cheese. The basil reminds of the green awakening land and the cheese reminds me of the cow that freely roams the green pastures, giving us milk to me made into cheese. Tonskotsu broth is made even thick and more flavorful with the addition of basil and cheese.

Tonkotsu Ramen Summer looks mighty hot with the addition of spicy minced pork but I assure you it is not as spicy as it looks. The fiery redness reminds me of the sweltering summer days.

Three varieties of mushrooms and minced pork flavored with bonitos are added to the thick tonkotsu to create Tonkotsu Ramen Autumn.
When I think about winter, I think of snow covering everything, rendering everything white. Think of the cleanliness, think of the purity. I think that is what Tonkotsu Ramen Winter is trying to convey by presenting you with the basic tonkotsu broth with no additions.

Besides the season-themed ramens, this outlet also offers a few extra dishes, one of which is this Stir-Fried Pork with Ginger on Rice. It is a simple yet so satisfying. The sukiyaki beef pieces are tender and cooked till just right. Eat together with the mayonnaise and chopped green onions for a satisfying meal.

Sesame & Spring Onion Rice is another rice dish offered exclusively at this outlet. It’s amazing how something so simple can taste so good. The fragrance of the Japanese rice is probably the trick to its deliciousness. The nuttiness of the roasted sesame seeds and freshness of the chopped green onions adds a boost.
This outlet also features an ice-cream that is made in-house, but it seems that I am just not fated to try their Yazu Ice-Cream

It is amazing how this restaurant is always filled with people no matter what time of the day, but the queue moves quite quickly.  Be prepared to wait for 15-30 minutes.
