It’s been a long time since I last went to Osaka and I have been craving for the Japanese pancakes known as okonomiyaki. There are a few restaurants in Singapore specializing in okonomoyaki, I decided to try out Ajiya Okonomiyaki Restaurant.
Ajiya Okonomiyaki is a small restaurant hidden in the shophouses along Jalan Jurong Kechil, a few shops from Micasa Kitchen & Bar.
You can find their menu here.
You can choose to make the pancake yourself or get the staff to make it for you.
There are several okonomiyaki options but the most popular is Ajiya’s Combo [S$18]. You can customize your okonomiyaki by choosing 3 toppings of your choice.
House Salad [S$10] is perfect for cleansing your palate in between bites of okonomiyaki pancake. You can even add pork belly for S$3.50.
Potato Cheese Mentai [S$14] is cheesy, creamy and has a great umami flavor. Potato slices are baked with cheese and creamy mentaiko sauce.
