Little did I realize, there are actually quite a few dim sum places in Bukit Batok. I chose the one with the highest rating on Google reviews – 272 Homemade Pau Dim Sum.
This is a hawker stall located in Block 272 Bukit Batok East Avenue 4, hence the name.
The baos are definitely homemade, the huge bamboo steamers lying on the counters and irregularly-shaped baos are a dead giveaway.
Even though there are only 14 items on the menu, you can’t beat prices which range from S$1 to S$4.
My favorite is the Century Egg Porridge [S$2.70] which is silky-smooth with lots of century eggs. The baos are alright but the pork ribs are a little salty.
The dim sums here go so well with the freshly-made soya milk and beancurd from Jian Bi Soya Milk and Roasted Meats a few shops away.
