Chuen Chuen Cafe is apparently quite famous for its chicken rice. I have walked past this restaurant many times and I have never had the chance to actually try the food. I was in the Bugis area with my parents, we decided to have lunch here.
Personally, I don’t feel there is anything special about their chicken rice. The rice is a little dry, chicken is tender but there is no “wow’ factor.
Cereal Tofu is just about the worst I have had so far. The tofu is definitely overcooked and it is too salty. The cereal is basically tasteless, you have to chew for a long time before the fragrance of cereal is released.. The tofu and cereal don’t come together as it should, it remains tofu and cereal.
It’s a good-enough place to have a quick meal, but don’t be expecting quality food. At least the price is reasonable.
