Keisuke Ramen is one of my favorite ramen restaurant and the man behind the Keisuke group of restaurants, chef Keisuke Takeda, is on a roll this year.
After the success of his first six restaurants (Ramen Dining Keisuke Tokyo, Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King, Ramen Keisuke Tori King, Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Four Seasons, Ramen Keisuke King Matsuri and Gyoza King), chef Keisuke Takeda went on to open a second Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King outlet at Paya Lebar Square and two special concept restaurants, Tendon Ginza Itsuki and Takeda Shoten. This year, chef Keisuke is all set to tantalise our tastebuds with his new creations. Following the opening of Ramen Keisuke Lobster King in Clark Quay last month, we have the opening of Ramen Keisuke Kani King at Cathay Cineleisure.
As you wait for your ramen, you can enjoy free boiled eggs, bean sprouts and nirakyabe ninniku (Japanese pickled vegetables).
Ramen Keisuke Kani King offers their signature ramen in 4 distinctive styles: Crab Broth Ramen (Rich Soup), Cran Broth Ramen (Clear Soup), Spicy Crab Broth Ramen, Crab Tsuekemen and a special Kani Tama Ramen (with Fried Omelette) which is only available at this outlet. I chose Crab Broth Ramen (Rich Broth) and I fell in love with the orange-brown broth made from crab and chicken bones. Paired with straight thin noodles, pork loin charshu, black fungus and bamboo shoots, it is a delicious treat for any time of the day.
Chef Keisuke Takeda has once again revolutionized the humble ramen. Reasonable prices, warm hospitality makes Ramen Keisuke Kani King the place to head for when you are in Orchard Road, or if you are a crab or ramen lover. The late opening hours make this the perfect place for supper after a late-night movie.
