Poke (pronounced “Poh-Kay”) is a type of raw fish salad that is a staple in Hawaiian cuisine. Traditionally, poke consists of seasoned aku (tuna) or he’e (octopus) tossed with maui onions, inamona (a condiment made of roasted salted candlenut), soy sauce, green onions and sesame oil.
Aloha Poke was founded by two couples who had craving for poke after they returned from Hawaii but they could not find a suitable alternative in Singapore, so they decided to make their own poke. After numerous tries, they founded Aloha Poke.
Aloha Poke was the pioneer of poke bowls in Singapore and a slew of poke restaurants followed in Singapore including Doke Poke, Rollie Ollie and Sprout among many others.
You can customise your poke bowl by choosing your size [Lil’ Swell $11.90, Standard Nalu $15.90, Big Kahuana $19.90], base (White Rice/Brown Rice/Rice Mix/Salad, top-up $1 for Kale), poke, 3 complimentary add-ons and 1 complimentary superfood. If you are lazy, there are Standard Nalu Tuna [$15.90] and Standard Nalu Salmon [$15.90].
Aloha Poke has recently introduced the new Pokeritto into its menu where you can have your poke bowl in the wrap. You can choose your size [Iki (Small) $11.90, Null (Big) $15.90], base (White Rice/Brown Rice/Rice Mix, top-up $1 for Kale), 2 complimentary add-ons and 1 complimentary superfood. If you are lazy to make your own pokeritto, you can choose from Nui Tuna [$15.90] and Nui Salmon [$15.90].
This new Aloha Poke outlet in CityLink Mall offers free-flow infused water.
If you are not a fan of infused water, there are other drink options such as Cocoloco (Fresh Coconut Juice) [$5.90], Juix Up (Cold Pressed Juices) [$5.90] and Nakd Water (Still/Sparkling) [$3.90].
