Eat at Seven: Menya Takeichi – Best Chicken Ramen is Here at Suntec City

Eat at Seven at level 3 of Suntec City Mall features 7 of Japan’s best and trending specialist concept restaurants is brought into Singapore by Global Retail Partners, a joint venture by ANA Trading, Komars Group and local restaurateur Mr Andrew Tan who owns Tomo F&B Group.
Japanese cuisine is one of my favourite cuisines, so I am going to dedicate the whole of December to the review of these 7 restaurants.
Let’s start with my favourite food, ramen, at Menya Takeichi.

Menya Takeichi is famous for their signature Chicken Paitan Ramen where the collagen-rich chicken broth is made by simmering 9kg of chicken meat and chicken feet over 10 hours. The luxuriously thick and creamy chicken broth is paired with medium thin ramen noodles that has lower water content, pieces of chicken meat that is suspiciously over-crunchy and handmade chicken balls. There are 4 options to choose from Special Ramen, Special Rich Shoyu Ramen, Special Rich Shio Ramen and Special Rich Spicy Ramen.

If you are a big eater and a bowl of that wonderful Chicken Paitan Ramen is not enough to fill you up, you can top up your ramen with one of the following: Chicken Ball Rice, Chicken Tempura Rice, Mentaiko Rice, Miso Chicken Rice and Gyoza.
Menya Takeichi has been ranked as the best chicken broth ramen in Japan and I am utterly amazed at the delicious chicken that can almost rival Tonkotsu King’s tonkotsu broth. It is hugely popular in Japan with 40 outlets.
