I have been wanting to check out this delightful place ever since I have learned of its existence a few years ago, but The Grandstand at Turf City is really out of the way for folks like me who do not drive, so I have been putting it off.
PasarBella has just opened a new outlet at the newly-renovated Suntec City and I am really excited to check out all the awesome foods. In fact, I am so in love with the idea that I am dedicating 2 month worth of post to PasarBella.
Let’s head over to Pita & Olives Mediterranean Cuisine, stall next to Choo Choo Chicken for some exotic Mediterranean food.
Lamb Shawarma Set consists of lamb shavings, chopped vegetable salad, hummus and pita bread.
Pita is a soft flatbread made from wheat flour that originated from the Near East.
Hummus is a Levantine and Egyptian spread made by mashing chickpeas and other beans, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. It has a nutty taste which makes it delicious.
Meats such as lamb, chicken, turkey, beef, veal or mixed meats are roasted over a pit for as long as a day. Shavings are cut off from the block of meat to be served with Mediterranean salad of diced vegetables. The lamb is well-marinated with spices and each morsel is moist and tender. There is a good balance of fats and leans meats which make the meal all the more delicious.
You can either choose to enjoy all the ingredients together using the pita bread as a wrap or enjoy them on their own.
