A friend recently told me that Standing Sushi Bar has Salmon Madness on Mondays and Thursdays where 5 pieces of salmon sashimi is only S$3.
I love salmon sashimi but it is usually quite expensive in Singapore. The last place I saw salmon sashimi on the menu was at MIZ Japanese Restaurant where a plate of 5 pieces costs S$8.50.
Reservation is strongly recommended, if you don’t want to queue for hours. The reservation slots fill up very quickly, I only managed to get a reservation 6 weeks later.
This is the Salmon Sashimi [S$3/5 pieces]. Each plate contains 5 slices, we ordered 6 plates in one shot so they combined all into a plate. Look at how thick the slices are! I love that Standing Sushi Bar doesn’t scrimp on the quality even though it is on promotion.
Besides salmon sashimi, some of the alcoholic drinks are on promotion too. Sake (cold) is S$2, beer/house-pour wine/hot sake/umeshu are S$5 per glass.
I love the sweet Umeshu [S$5] (plum wine) but I can’t stand Hot Sake [S$5] as heat made the alcohol smell even more pronounced.
Besides the promotional salmon sashimi and drinks, you can also order from the ala carte menu and set meal menu.
This is Spicy Salmon Roll [S$8] from the ala carte menu. The humble salmon roll is instantly transformed with the mentaimayo sauce on top of the roll.
Standing Sushi Bar’s Salmon Madness promotion is the perfect place to binge on high-quality salmon sashimi without guilt.
