If you are looking for a place to chill out and relax with live music after work, I recommend Timbre+ One North.
The nearest MRT station is One-North station on the Circle Line. After exiting Exit A, cross the road and take a 5-minute walk and you will reach Timbre+ One North.
The best part about Timbre+ One North is live music by local musicians from Monday to Saturday nights. You can find the live band schedule here.
Timbre+ One North offers a diversity of restaurant-grade food and casual eats at affordable prices. There are 30 food stalls and 5 drink stalls.
As its name suggests, Burgs by Project Warung sells burgers and western food. This stall is Muslim-owned so it is considered halal. I had their Burgs Classic Cheese Burger [S$6 for Single, S$9 for Double] with Onion Rings and Honey Butter Chicken Wings [S$5.50] with Fries.
The cheese burgeris a little on the thin side but it’s overall tasty. The chicken wings are crispy and coated with finger-licking delicious honey butter sauce.
I have been craving for lok lok but Goldiloks is sorely disappointing. At S$1.20 per stick, the lok lok choices available is dismal. There are just some balls and sausages, most of which are all cooked foods. The skewers are fried and sprinkled with some weird-tasting powder that does nothing to enhance the taste.
Hungry Thai serves an array of Thai dishes. I got half a dozen of Oysters [S$18] which comes with a fiery Thai chilli sauce. The oysters are quite fresh.
Bottle Shop is where you can get a good selection of alcoholic drinks. There are beers from different counties and a good variety of ciders and wines.
Timbre+ One North is a great place to unwind with friends or colleagues after a hard day’s work. There are more than 30 stalls selling food and drinks, plus nightly live music featuring local musicians.
