I was craving for some comforting Korean handmade noodles. I made my way to Huluruk Myeon House in Velocity only to realize it has been taken over by a Japanese restaurant Unatoto.
Unatoto specializes in unagi, (Japanese grilled eel). Unatoto aims to provide affordable unagi for everyone to enjoy.
Besides unagi, Unatoto also offers tendon, kaisendon, gyu and tori dishes, noodles, izakaya bites and desserts. You can see their menu here.
Unatoto’s unagi comes in many sizes. I got the Unadon Double [S$15.50] which comes with two slices of unagi. The unagi is very well-cooked, with slightly charred skin that falls off.
I opted for Value Set A by topping up an additional S$5. This gives me a small bowl of unagi liver soup which is clear and not fishy at all and an onsen egg.
I got Matcha Warabimochi & Ice Cream with Black Honey [S$7.50]. The matcha warabimochi is soft and chewy, the scoop of green tea ice-cream tastes surprisingly better when eaten with black honey.
