Taste is very subjective and everyone have their own opinion. Ladyironchef and Misstamchiak feels that Antoinette’s salted egg croissant is the best in Singapore while The Straits Times recently publish an article that says Da Paolo Gastronomia is the best.
Adding to the list of places you can get your salted egg croissant fix is Bread Talk (Toast Box) with their mini-sized salted egg croissants. Bread Talk (Toast Box)’s Golden Lava Croissant will be available from 15 March 2016.
The grainy salted egg filling flows as you bite into the croissants. The filling more sweet than salty which is fine but the croissant itself is not buttery and a little tough.
This may not be the best salted egg croissant, but at $8 for 10, these bite-sized croissants are affordable and easily available. They taste the best fresh from the oven, but if you are not able to get them then, you can heat them up for 1 minute in a toaster oven or 2-3 minutes in an oven at 180 degree celcius.
The Golden Lava Croissant are available at selected 15 outlets across the island: Bedok Mall, Causeway Point, Clementi Mall, Novena Square, Resorts World Sentosa, Tampines Mall, VivoCity, Waterway Point, Westgate and Wisma Atria. There is a limited quantity available everyday, so get them before they run out!
