I recently discovered another Northeastern Chinese restaurant named Good BBQ 好再来 at Kallang.
This restaurant is just a 5-minute walk from Kallang MRT station, no wonder it’s so packed even on weekdays.
Good BBQ focuses more on the skewers while other Northeastern Chinese restaurants such as Dong Bei Cai Guan 东北菜馆 focuses more on cooked dishes.
Good BBQ has a whole range of skewers, from mutton and beef to chicken and pork to seafood and vegetables.
Sadly, I find the skewers a little overcooked and as a result, the meat tends to be a little tough.
All the skewers have exactly the same seasoning, which becomes a little too much after a few sticks.
I wanted to eat Korean Cold Noodles 冰镇冷面 [S$6] but it was sold out so I had to change to 东北大拉皮 [S$12]. The liangpi here are made with rice flour which gives it a chewier texture. Mixed together with black fungus, cucumber stripes, carrot stripes beancurd skin and sesame paste, it is a refreshing dish.
I love that Good BBQ is located so near to Kallang MRT. There is a wide variety of skewers and cooked dishes that keeps customers coming back for more.
If you are lazy to physically go down to the restaurant, you can also order online and have it delivered to you.
