Haru Haru

Located at the quiet Jubilee Square in Ang Mo Kio, Haru Haru is a Japanese restaurant with an extensive menu to satisfy the cravings of everyone in the family.

The restaurant is decorated in contemporary-chic style with soft lighting.  There are counter seats where you can watch the sushi masters work their magic. You can also opt to have a private table with wood panel partitions for privacy.

This is their signature dish. You can choose either Waygu Don or Gyu Don, but the friendly staff who took my order recommended that I go for Wagyu Don because the meat is more tender, so Wagyu Don it is. The beef slices are lightly pan-fried and served on fragrant Japanese rice and miso soup. You can either mix in the onsen egg or use it as a dip for the beef slices, either way is delicious. The tenderness of the beef slices was definitely worth the extra money and the calories.

Many people have been raving about their Chirashi Don with thick slices of fresh sashimi topped with creamy uni.
