Cafe-Hopping: Antoinette (Penhas Road)

Mariem and I had a whale of a time doing cafe-hopping last year. Toady, we embark on our first cafe-hopping adventure of this year.
Second stop, Antoinette (Penhas Road).
Antoinette wasn’t on our list, but it was walking distance from The Bravery and both Mariem and I have been wanting to try out Antoinette, so we did.
Today, I shall be wearing this cat-themed cropped top kindly sponsored by Tagged With Love.
Everything sounded so delicious, it was almost impossible to decide on what to eat. It took me a good 15 minutes before I could make up my mind. The full menu can be found here.

Jams, dinnerware and various goodies can be bought at at the merchandising corner.

I love their pretty and elegant dinnerware. Antoinette has an entire half-page of its menu dedicated to teas and a good selection of desserts that look almost too good to eat.

If you are a chocolate lover, you will definitely want to try Chocolicieux. Warm chocolate sauce, 66% dark chocolate ice-cream, chocolate pieces and vanilla creme Chatilly makes this one sinfully delicious treat.
Antoinette’s Breakfast consists of scrambled egg, grilled bacon and sausage, homemade toasted pain de mie, completed with a basket of  viennoiseries and a cup of hot chocolate. Scrambled eggs taste so good on the toasted bread and the bacon is a little too hard and dry. Viennoiseries, which means French pastry, include croissant, pain au chocolate and brioche. The croissant is airy and buttery, one of the best I have eaten so far.
I didn’t have a chance to try the desserts because I was too stuffed, but I will definitely be back to try every single one of the beautifully-crafted desserts.
Antoinette is really more of a restaurant than a cafe with a full-fledged menu and staff dressed in smart black and white attire. Elegant internal and exterior design, delicious food and good service justifies the slightly higher prices.
