Ever since I had my first taste of Japanese pancakes at Belle-Ville Pancake House (Square 2), I can’t forgot the cloud-like softness of the pancakes.
I know that Fluff Stack is another cafe that serves Japanese soufflé pancakes but its location at Suntec City Mall is not very convenient for me. Now that Fluff Stack has recently opened a new outlet at Northpoint City, let’s go and have a try.
The new-restaurant-hype has not died down yet, so expect to wait for at least an hour if you come on weekends.
The Fluff Stack outlet at Northpoint City offers 7 flavors of pancakes to cater to different palates.
This is the All-Time Classic [S$9.80] flavor. Two pieces of soufflé pancakes are stack together and topped with freshly-whipped cream. Accompanying the pancakes are a small jug of maple syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
I love the sweet-salty syrup in Salted Caramel [S$14.50] which balances out the sweetness of the pancakes and whipped cream.
The other flavors available at the Northpoint City outlet are Strawberry Cheese [S$13.50], Hazelnut-Chocolate [S$14.50], Mango-Passionfruit [S$14.80], Tiramisu [S$14.50] and Black Forest [S$14.50].
The soufflé pancakes are fluffy like clouds, even my friend who just had a tooth operation could swallow them without chewing.
